3S Services is looking for a Technical Subject Matter Expert to join our team.  This candidate will work in a team environment at client location(s), in the U.S. and overseas, to teach multi-faceted training programs developed for upstream operations. The team consists of

  • Instructional Design (ISD) Consultant
  • Technical Instructional Design (ISD) Consultant
  • Technical Subject Matter Experts (SME)
  • Graphic Artist

 Responsibilities: 

In conjunction with other SMEs in the group and with strong guidance and design from ISD

  • Develop initial technical content for training programs
  • Develop initial exercises, problems and reviews to enhance training effectiveness
  • Assist in providing feedback and ideas to develop instructor materials
    • Course outlines
    • Background material
    • Instructional materials
    • Training aids
  • Develop initial topic sections for operations manuals
  • Assess operations training needs via field visit
  • Develop initial skill competency assessments
  • Conduct ride-alongs to verify skill competency levels
  • Conduct presentations to teach courses for operations personnel
  • Provide feedback on courses to ensure quality and consistency of content throughout course life cycle
  • Mentor operations personnel to further develop skills


Requirements:

  • 10-15 years varied and direct upstream operations background
  • Basic Word, Excel and PowerPoint expertise

  • Must meet organization’s standard hiring requirements
  • This is a part-time consulting position
  • Work may vary week-to-week and month-to-month
  • Much of development work is done from your own location and via e-mail or conference calls with other SMEs and/or ISD Consultant and/or Technical ISD Consultant
  • On an as-needed basis, the development team meets to work on a project as it nears completion
  • Must be able to travel within the U.S.
