Backhoe/ Trackhoe/ Blade Operator

Position Summary:

We are currently looking to fill this position in the Midland/Odessa, TX area. The Backhoe/ Trackhoe/ Blade Operator will report directly to the Foreman, Spread Boss, Pusher, or Field Supervisor depending on the region and division which they are assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Follow all relevant policies and procedures
  • Maintain and build upon the company culture for industry leading safety programs
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating
  • Keep equipment clean and free of trash
  • Ensure equipment is safely secured and stored.
  • Advise supervisor or any needed maintenance or repairs needed to equipment

Civil Engineer (Arlington, TX)

Position Summary:

  • Knowledge of Industry design codes especially AISC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM, and BS

Position Summary:

We are looking to fill this position in the Midland, TX area. The Electrical CAD Operator operates CAD system and produces clear and technically accurate drawings based on design specifications

Roles & Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

This job installs, repairs wiring, maintains and upgrades electrical systems, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties. This job description may be revised as needed.

The titled position referenced above will play an important role in the day to day operations of field projects, on-going and future. This position will work closely with the Office Manager and Purchase Order Administrator. This position’s tasks are computer intensive and it will be necessary to possess strong computer skills to execute work efficiently. Relevant duties will include but are not limited to:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Issuing and Closing Purchase Orders (POs) for material, subcontractors, safety supplies, etc.
  • Ensure POs are issued in a timely manner to avoid delays in project execution, as well as making sure POs are processed (Closed Out) in an equally timely manner to avoid late or past due payments.
  • Assist in project reporting to the customer at required intervals (daily, weekly, etc.) while the project is on-going.
  • Adhere to a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) provided by the customer or 3S Management for proper report formatting and submittal.
  • Required to submit all reports and supporting documentation by the required deadline established in the SOP.
  • Provide administrative support on various projects
  • Assist field operations with the completion of daily time sheets

I&E Designer

Position Summary:

We are currently looking to fill this position in the Midland and Arlington, TX areas. The I&E Designer performs instrumentation and electrical design duties for projects in the oil and gas industry. The I&E Designer also works with other engineering disciplines to: create instrumentation and electrical drawings packages for construction

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of 3S Services HSE policies.
  • Read and understand process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

Instrumentation & Automation Technician

3S Services, LLC is a growing oilfield company looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Automation Technician to join our team. This position will be based out of our Carlsbad/Hobbs, NM location. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of various automations installs in the Oil and Gas Industry. This position will primarily execute field installs of various automation instruments/transmitters as well as download, troubleshoot, and modify RTU and PLC configurations to fit the current need.

This position will report directly to a manager. 

 Position Summary:

  • Implement and maintain remote communications equipment (900Mhz – 5.8Ghz Radios, cell modems, VSAT).
  • Regular monitoring of SCADA systems or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware
  • Calibration and verification of field instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist Automation and SCADA engineers in troubleshooting of systems from the field.
  • Provide on-call support to various clients’ automation and SCADA systems.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Controller Experience: RTU's, EFM's, VFD's, PLC Programming (FisherROC, GE, Idec, ScadaPack, Allen Bradley)
  • Instrumentation Experience: Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level, Actuated Valves, etc.

Junior Electrical Engineer

We are looking to fill this position in Midland, TX

Position Summary:

  • Performs electrical engineering and design duties for projects in the oil and gas industry.
  • Works with other engineering disciplines to create instrumentation and electrical construction packages.

  • Read and understand electrical drawing packages.
  • Work with electrical engineering modeling software such as ETAP or SKM to perform electrical system studies on various facilities.

Pipeline Operator

Position Summary:

The Pipeline Operator performs terminal and station operations with both inside and outside responsibilities. This is a 7 on and 7 off rotation, located in the Orla/ Menton, Texas area. Camp housing will be provided during the 7 days off.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and executes crude oil delivery to appropriate pipelines or tankage.
  • Performs measurement analysis to determine crude oil API gravity and sediment and water percentage.
  • Monitors operational data during crude oil movements and takes appropriate actions when necessary.

Technical Subject Matter Expert (Contract)

3S Services is looking for a Technical Subject Matter Expert to join our team.  This candidate will work in a team environment at client location(s), in the U.S. and overseas, to teach multi-faceted training programs developed for upstream operations. The team consists of

  • Instructional Design (ISD) Consultant

  • Technical Subject Matter Experts (SME)

In conjunction with other SMEs in the group and with strong guidance and design from ISD

Utility Line Locator

Position Summary:

3S Services, LLC is a growing oilfield company looking for an experienced Line Locator to join our team. This position will be based out of our Artesia, NM/Carlsbad, NM location.

The Line Locator position provides Damage Prevention services for underground utilities. Coordinates with client for specific jobs requiring HydroVac services. Must be a self- motivated individual with strong work ethics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to research and review utility company records and identify utilities from field observation
  • Operate different electromagnetic locating equipment, to locate and mark underground utilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
  • Operate ground penetrating radar device.
  • Read and interpret utility plans / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to locates completed.
  • Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, and maintain professional appearance.
  • Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours.
  • Communication and coordination with supervisor, coworkers, and utility representatives.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong ability to ensure accuracy. There is very little room for error in this position. 
  • Ability and willingness to follow instructions that may be written or delivered verbally.
  • Must be dependable and responsible regarding punctuality and attendance.
  • Knowledge and experience with utility line locating equipment (SUE Designating)
  • Capable of making field decisions without direct supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and a team attitude
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving history
  • Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines

 Qualification and Education Requirements:

  • 2-3yrs Experience line locating.
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry .
  • Proficiency in using Outlook (E-mail), attaching files, forwarding, writing and responding in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to learn new on-line operating systems required to perform the tasks associated with the job.
  • Possess good organizational skills and self-motivated.
  • As stated earlier, duties associated with this position are subject to change, candidates need to be adaptable and willing to accomplish additional tasks should they arise.
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred.
